Our fun trip to Utah to be with the kids....

Watching the girls take their first ride. Kennedi did a great job in a very short time driving the truck in out and around any obstructions. Made for a fun time. The girls loved the 'truck' even though it wasn't pink...ha ha ha!!! Marley was just happy to ride and turn on the radio as Kennedi drove her all over the place.
Fun welcoming message chalked onto the driveway for our arrival...cute
We met up with Jen and Cory and head on our way to UT stopping for a short break in Colorado
Jen with her sweet spoiled, Munch, who didn't like her momma and daddy to be gone all week! Someone has an attitude and is very headstrong. She was sooo happy when they got home.
Enjoying a rare gathering after a wonderful surprise (and I mean surprise!) anniversary dinner with the kids at a lovely Italian restuarant with great food, lovely atmosphere, terrific service and the best company ever!! Thanks Cory for planning - and everyone for uniting for the event, it meant the world to us!! Such a wonderful treat

Pretty girls in their new outfits
Random pics from our days playing outside

YES...we get to go to ride the carousel, one of our favorite passtimes since Kennedi was little and now Marley loves it too.
Nothing feels better than cooling off in water on a hot summer day...

Our day at Millcreek eating, playing in the freezing water, playing games (some people are so competitive!hee hee) taking walks, laughing and getting perfectly dirty.
Pretty girls together again....love it!
Marley affectionately calls auntie Ell, 'T Ell' she loves her t' Ell!
Welcoming the new day out on the deck every morning, so cool and pleasant and extra cozy with one of our favorite girls to snuggle with.
Husking corn on the cob with Mamaw on the deck in the wind! So much wind during our visit. the girls loved husking the corn. Marley kept saying, 'pull' so we kept on 'pulling' the husks off. Watching the girls at the splash park near their home

Playing games at Millcreek...

In the end we stayed up way too late most nights, ate far too much, laughed at everything, tried to cram in all the activities we could and loved every minute of it!! Miss you all wish I could say good-bye with a little more grace but then that wouldn't be me now would it???!

Our Weekend visit with Clint Christy and children...

Back yard fun as they throw the ball and teeter totter. It was so hot we soon headed to the lake.

My 'little' brother, Clint
Enoying an early morning out on the front porch watching it rain. They were both fresh out of bed and loved the idea of playing in the rain for a bit. Did someone say, 'cheese'?
Gracie was helping take some pictures, this one she captured Clint doing his fatherly duties by airing up all the tires. The kids thoroughly enjoyed riding up and down the driveways and sidewalks. It took Brock a while to hit the driveway at the right angle so he wasn't crashing all the time. I think he crashed at least 20 times and only once did it upset him...can you say persistent? What a kid!

We watch, they ride. Except for the times they talked me into taking them around the block! and I was walking. HOT
Loving the chance to use up some of his energy by riding his bike.

Taking a small break
oops, chose the picture with her eyes closed! Guess I should have checked that first.

We went to the lake so the children could enjoy some fun on the play ground, riding their bikes and 'wading' in the water...ok, that didn't last very long! Before too long they were in doing handstands, diving and swimming. It was the perfect thing to do on the hot summer day. We sat back and watched the children playing and having a great time from under the shade of the beautiful Pine trees.

Sharing some of our views

I've posted pictures before of the field we see as we come and go out of our new subdivision, well here it is these days...a carpet of yellow. I love it! I got out and took some close-ups of the flowers and how they line the road too. The orange flower is actually here by our house, I just threw that one in for good measure. Hope this brightens your day as it does us.

Couldn't help but share our view from the back yard patio. I sit out here to write Jake's letters and I just love looking across the field of overgrown grass that blends into the beautiful trees which are highlighted by the brilliant blue sky with the puffy white clouds. So pretty to me. While working out at the lot Joe spotted an unusual looking little frog on the dirt wall one day, well the frog is still there weeks later. See him in his cave and notice all the 'spots' around him...eggs? Not sure really. Occasionally he comes out and sits in the sun too. I'll try to get a better picture if I'm not too muddy to handle a camera. So here is your nature scene. What I thought at first was one critter going in for the kill when I heard a loud buzzing turned out to be a mating event between two horse flies. Well, I'm guessing that's what they were. Oh the things we do for entertainment
