For my birthday celebration we drove to Hot Springs National Park to hike and sight see. The day was overcast, drizzly and cool but BEAUTIFUL. We walked the historic downtown and saw what they call, 'Bathhouse Row' where in the early 1900's these buildings were used as bath houses to enjoy to 'Hot Springs'. The large white building behind us on the stairs is one of the bath houses on Main Street. The tilework was elaborate the stained glass colorful and the detail grand indeed. We ate lunch at a cozy little diner with the old bar stools and counter area. We hiked steep walkways and felt the heat of the spring water. People everywhere were caring jugs to fill with their own spring water to take home. It was such a fun day.
